COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course will be a challenging 1-mile loop in beautiful Devou Park.  It starts with a flat straight section before you hit the 180 degree turn to start the decent.  At the bottom of the decent you’ll have a sweeping right hander into the climb.  The climb itself is winding with some rough pavement.  Once you reach the top, it’s a short sprint the last couple of hundred feet to the finish line.

REGISTRATION: Online registration is available at BikeReg.com.  Online registration will close at 11:59 PM the night before each race.  Pre-registration is highly encouraged.  A $5 late fee will be assessed to all day of event registrations.  Onsite registration and check in will open at 6:00 PM and closes 15 minutes before each race.

Riders will use the same bib number for the entire series. Replacement numbers will be $5
RULES AND REGULATIONS: This race is permitted through USA Cycling, and all USA Cycling rules and regulations must be followed and will be enforced.  All riders must have a current USA Cycling racing license or a one-day license.  One-day licenses will be available at check in and can only be used by Cat 5 Men and Cat 4 Women.  The promoter reserves the right to combine categories and/or reduce prize lists based upon number of riders.

RESULTS: All results will be submitted to USA Cycling within 48 hours after the official results are final.

2010 Devou Park Series Flyer

Devou Park continues to support bike racing with the addition of a summer race series.

BigDaveSports and the Reser/Fusion Team are working together to bring you a summer race series in Devou Park. This will be a 5 week series starting on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 and going through Wednesday, August 11, 2010. This series will start 2 weeks after the last week of the Ault Park Series. There will be 3 races each night:

7:00 PM – 30 min – Women Cat 3/4 and Juniors
7:35 PM – 30 min – Men Cat 5
8:10 PM – 40 min – Men Cat 3/4 and Women Cat 1/2

The course will be a challenging course. It starts with a flat straight section before you hit the 180 degree turn to start the decent. At the bottom of the decent you’ll have a sweeping right hander into the climb. The climb itself is winding with some rough pavement. Once you reach the top, you won’t have any time to recover as you sprint the last couple of hundred feet to the finish line.

We are still working out the details, but things are progressing well. Mark your calendars and be ready.

The Madeira Centennial Race Committee is pleased to announce the first-ever bike race held in the heart of Madeira:  The Madeira Centennial Criterium, Friday,  June 25th 2010. All categories of criterium racers will be competing from 5pm – 9:30pm.  Complete with music, food, beer tent, and kids events.  Pro cyclists will battle for the $5500 cash purse.  Fun for all!  Stay in touch for more information published soon.

Hyde Park Blast Criterium (USA Crits Series #3) – the largest road event in Ohio has grown further with its acceptance into the prestigious USA Crits Series (www.usacrits.com)!  Last year’s attendance of 320 riders measured out at a 40% increase over the previous year.  How much growth will we see this year!?
