USA Cycling Permit # 2011-1281
Part of the Lance Armstrong Junior Race Series (LAJRS)
The 2011 Ohio Juniors & Masters Road Race State Championship will be held in Zanesfield, OH on a 14.3-mile loop with moderate climbing (mostly false flats) and a few turns and plenty of straight-aways.
Masters riders are defined by USA Cycling as any rider with a racing age of 30 or older. Your racing age is the age you will be by December 31st of the current year. For example, a rider with a birth date of October 1, 1971 would only be 39 years old on the date of this race but actually has a racing age of 40 and thus would race with the 40-44 age group.

* Championship medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in 5 year age brackets for Master and 2 year age brackets for Juniors for Ohio residents only. |

The State Masters Road race as printed in the hand book only includes Master’s up to age 54. In last years State race the 55+ field was decent in size. Why are we left out this year?
There will be a 55+ group. They are currently scheduled to be part of the morning group that starts at 9:00 am. In the Race Preview Guide, it is kind of hidden amongst the Women and Juniors. State Championships will be awarded for every 5-year age bracket for as high as the oldest rider.

What course is correct – the one that was linked months ago using CR5 to SR540 and back on CR10 – or the new one that is currently linked to the web site using CR2 and back on SR 292 (NOT CR10)????

@Jim – you can see the list of registered riders on the USA Cycling Registration Page near the bottom on the right.

@Nick – All 10-14 Juniors will be racing together, but medals will be awarded for for 10-12 and 13-14 in both men and women.
@Jim – The course has always been CR2 to SR 292 for this event. That is the course we are using tomorrow.
