As a reminder, ALL riders must be checked in at registration by 9:00 AM regardless of their start time. Please do not be late!
Youth Racing (Age 6-9)
2In 2012, USA Cycling made it possible for riders as young as 6 years old to obtain a race license. Previously, riders had to have a racing age of 10 years old by December 31st to be able to obtain a racing license. So what does this mean? I will try to break it down for you.

Spring Tune-Up Road Race Cancelled/Rescheduled AGAIN

Once again, it looks like Mother Nature is going to screw up our racing plans again. At least this time we have some warning. There is a significant snow storm moving through the Ohio Valley Sunday into Monday. Sunday will start with cold temperatures and rain. This will change over to misery and suffering for anyone who may be trying to race their bike. By the afternoon, the roads will most likely be unsafe for traveling.
For everyone’s safety, we feel it is best to make the call now to allow everyone to make other plans and get a good training ride in on Saturday when the weather is expected to be nice. We are still working on a rescheduled reschedule date and hope to have one nailed down early in the work week.
Tri-State 6HRS MTB Series

Please note that BigDaveSports will no longer be a part of the planning and promotion of the Tri-State 6HRS p/b Trek Bicycle Store Cincinnati. It was a tough decision, but for personal and family reasons, BigDave made the decision to step away from the series to free up more time to spend with his rapidly growing kids and their activities. The teams involved in promoting the individual races in the series have been encouraged to continue their work and make the series happen without BigDave. This series seems to fill a much wanted niche in the MTB community. The series does have it’s own website, so be sure to check them out there as well as on facebook.

I have always had pride in the fact that he has never had to cancel or reschedule a (non-MTB) race because of weather. On Sunday, March 3, 2013, that all changed.
